OverviewThe idea for this layout of a resume is shamelessly stolen from various other web documents, mostly since I really like the idea of having an ``extended'' resume available online - the paper form I've found somewhat limiting and not sufficient for my desires. I am a Systems Administrator with my primary skillset in the UNIX family of OS'es. I have experience configuring some network devices for routing and firewalling purposes, and also have experience integrating UNIX, NT, and to a limited extend Novell services to present a unified service package to desktop users. I am currently employed by Red Hat, Inc. . I am the Production Support Team Lead, responsible for much of the day-to-day operation of the Level 2 support team in North America. I'm also responsible for regular Level 2 support duties ranging from pre-sales technical support assistance to simple installation / configuration questions to critical system-down emergency resolution. I earned my BS degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1996, with a major in Mathematical Sciences with a Computer Science concentration. During my time ``in the field'', I've managed to publish two articles in SysAdmin magazine, one co-authored by a coworker, Dana Lee. I've also written a few administrative and user guides for aspects of the computing environment, available on my Documentation page. |
